ABOUT PRINCO GROUP
(U) LTD
Princo Group (U) Limited is a private Ugandan enterprise founded with a mission to revolutionize the oilseed value chain, with a focus on sesame, coffee, and other climate-resilient crops. From humble beginnings in 2003 as a grassroots promoter of organic farming, Princo has evolved into a regional leader in sesame value addition, climate-smart agriculture, and inclusive market development.
Our journey started with Benson Otim—our founder—whose deep experience in agribusiness and dedication to farmer empowerment laid the foundation for a company that now works with over 23,000 farmers, including youth, women, PWDs, and minority groups across Lango, Teso, and Karamoja.
Empowering Northern Uganda Through Agribusiness Innovation

Our Vision
To be the most trusted and impactful agribusiness in Uganda—championing value-added exports, farmer inclusion, and environmentally responsible production.
What Makes Princo Different?

Our Impact
Economic: Over 60,000 farmers projected to be included in our network by 2025, boosting household incomes and regional economies.

Environmental: Through seed selection, sustainable water use, and responsible land practices, we champion conservation across all operations.

🌻 Sunflower is rising as one of Uganda’s most promising oilseed crops.
Fast-growing, drought-resistant, and market-ready, sunflower offers farmers in Northern Uganda a reliable income stream. Princo Group supports producers with hybrid seeds, hands-on agronomy training, and off-take partnerships — helping them reduce input costs, restore soil health, and meet growing local and regional demand for sunflower oil.
Our Reach
Princo Group has grown into one of the most inclusive and expansive agribusiness networks in Northern and Eastern Uganda. To date, we’ve worked with over 52,346 smallholder farmers, offering training, inputs, post-harvest support, and guaranteed markets that help turn subsistence farming into sustainable livelihoods.
Our programs operate across five sub-regions, each with unique potential and challenges — but all rich in agricultural opportunity.
